As you get older, and especially as you hit your fifties, a slow downhill slide sets in that can catch you unawares if you are not paying attention. Often you find that you sleep nowhere near as well as you did when you were younger. Think back to when you were a child. You went to bed, your head hit the pillow, and off to sleep you went. Next thing you knew, it was morning, you felt rested and full of beans, and rearing to go. Now you struggle to just get out of bed, and when you look in the bathroom mirror, you get tired just by looking at your tired face. What on earth happened?
